So I pick the 5 year old up after school at 4:30 (she had yoga after school) she is mopey, but still energetic (if that makes sense) she almost falls asleep on the 5 minute ride home and then refuses supper saying she’s too tired. Today at the playground there was an asian mom and her kids and their dad. C while swinging says to me “wow angie i didn’t know she could speak english!” All i can think is that she has only ever heard an asian person speak their native language. I didn’t even know how to respond.

I really do love my local library, although I never had taken a deep look into it. this visit and interview with the director was really insightful. When I look at the budget for the 2011 fiscal year, to me $364,000 seems like a lot of money, but looking at the break down of where it all goes helps me to understand. $14,000 of that total alone goes to books,(not including audio,dvd,cds or...

-What are the precautions you (library) take(s) to safe guard minors privacy when using the computers?
-are there specific computers for children?
-how do you handle issues regarding the internet? (Inappropriate use)

So the 4 year old I take care of is in th “poop” stage. Everything is poop, if you have kids, or even know kids you know this stage is a tricky one to discipline.
